Jimalashed Farm is a thriving mixed commercial farm located in Kwekwe, Zimbabwe, covering approximately 202 hectares of fertile arable and grazing land. Our farm combines sustainable crop production with high-quality livestock management, reflecting our commitment to responsible, practical, and innovative farming practices.
The Directors of Jimalashed Farm envision transforming the farm into a leading commercial and specialist organic operation that consistently supplies fresh, high-quality products to both domestic and international markets. Our goal is to create a balanced farming enterprise that maximizes the potential of the land while supporting long-term growth and sustainability.
On our farm, we cultivate a wide variety of crops, including fresh green mealies, butternut, watermelons, chillies, okra, cucumbers, peas, sugar beans, and sunflower. These crops are grown with careful attention to soil health, seasonal cycles, and sustainable farming practices, ensuring freshness and quality in every harvest.
Our livestock operations are equally diverse, including cattle, goats, sheep, and poultry such as chickens (both layers and broilers) and turkeys. Each animal is raised with proper care, nutrition, and welfare standards, producing premium meat, eggs, and breeding stock for our customers.
Jimalashed Farm is continually evolving, with a focus on innovation and strategic expansion. Planned initiatives include strengthening our livestock enterprises, enhancing farm infrastructure—including worker housing and irrigation systems—and achieving Global GAP certification to meet international standards. Our Farm Manager works closely with the Directors to identify new opportunities, ensuring the farm remains a dynamic and forward-thinking agricultural operation.
At Jimalashed Farm, we go beyond just producing crops and livestock. Our farm offers a range of practical agricultural services designed to support both individual farmers and commercial partners. Through these services, we aim to share our expertise, enhance productivity, and promote sustainable farming practices across Zimbabwe and beyond.
Our contract farming programs allow other farmers and businesses to partner with us for the cultivation of key crops such as peas, chillies, and other high-demand vegetables. We provide guidance and oversight throughout the growing cycle, from land preparation and planting to harvesting and quality control. This ensures consistent yields and reliable access to local and international markets.
In addition to crop partnerships, we offer livestock management support. Our experience with cattle, goats, sheep, and poultry allows us to advise on breeding, feeding, health management, and general husbandry practices.
